Operational Friction Audit

A diagnostic engagement that identifies where labor, mobilization, equipment, production, reporting, and closeout friction may be reducing deployment performance — delivered as a scored, evidence-based executive package.

Audit Scope

Built to find where execution is leaking time, money, and visibility.

Operational Friction Audit engagements start at $7,500. Final scope depends on territory size, data availability, project complexity, records volume, and turnaround requirements.

  • Executive Efficiency Scorecard (Green / Yellow / Red)
  • Findings Report with evidence-based observations
  • Risk / Opportunity Matrix
  • 30-Day Corrective Roadmap, prioritized by impact

Each category receives an evidence-backed rating with an impact estimate and corrective action. The scorecard is designed for executive review — clear, prioritized, and actionable.

Records Reviewed

The audit works from available project records.

Messy or incomplete data does not automatically disqualify a project. In many cases, inconsistent records are themselves part of the operational friction being diagnosed.

Labor & Crews

Labor hours, crew counts, timesheets, supervisor notes, staffing patterns, and productive-time ratios.

Mobilization & Readiness

Yard staging records, delayed-start patterns, access logs, vehicle readiness, and launch-window data.

Equipment & Rentals

Rental lists, idle-asset records, return delays, vehicle logs, inventory intake, and unnecessary spend patterns.

Production Output

Daily quantities, schedule milestones, territory completion status, productivity trends, and gap indicators.

Reporting & Visibility

Daily reports, issue logs, documentation gaps, and leadership visibility into field-level execution status.

Closeout & Billing

Signoff status, billing trackers, photo documentation, completion flags, and closeout drag indicators.

FAQ

Common questions before the audit.

Do you guarantee savings?

No. Velaryn identifies potential friction, estimates impact where supportable by records, and recommends corrective actions. Client implementation and final decisions remain the client's responsibility.

Can this be done remotely?

Many diagnostic reviews are performed remotely using available records transferred through a controlled process. Site visits or field validation can be scoped separately when records alone are insufficient.

Is this a safety or compliance audit?

No. Velaryn does not provide legal, engineering, regulatory compliance, OSHA, safety certification, or employer-specific training services. The audit is operational — it focuses on execution, production, and margin-risk.

What if our records are incomplete or inconsistent?

Incomplete records can still be reviewed. The audit may identify both operational findings and visibility gaps — the absence of documentation is itself a finding. Scope is confirmed before work begins based on what is available.

What governs the engagement?

All engagements require a signed NDA, Master Services Agreement, and Statement of Work before sensitive records are exchanged or paid work begins. Governing law is North Carolina.

Start with a diagnostic discussion.

No cost. Determines project fit, data availability, scope, and starting price before any agreement is signed.
